Job description/Person specification

Specific Responsibilities:

This is a hands-on position to assure product compliance with customer requirements. The position includes the following responsibilities:

  • Understand customer requirements regarding product specifications, quality, reliability qualification, production testing, documentation and reporting.
  • Develop plans to meet all customer requirements within a specific time schedule
  • Develop/Coordinate/execute qualification plans, and coordinate/perform review & reporting of test results.
  • Review and update quality documentation, as needed, to meet customer and industry requirements.
  • Perform qualification tests as needed, analyze and summarize test data.
  • Identify failures and issues, coordinate/execute FA, and follow up with the design team and customer support organization accordingly.
  • Develop and execute corrective and preventive actions.
  • Organize and maintain QA systems and documentation

Essential Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering, MS preferred
  • Knowledge of active optical components principles, technology and manufacturing
  • Hands on experience in optical and electronic testing and data analysis
  • 3-5 years product/quality/reliability engineering experience
  • Strong Knowledge of Quality Systems and Industry Standards ( ISO, Telcordia, MIL) and documentation
  • Experience with qualifying optical or electronic products for high TRL
  • Good communication, writing and presentation skills
  • Some travel may be required
  • Must be US Citizen or permanent resident to work on Federal/State/Government contracts
